Kimberly Gregory, MD, MPH, received her bachelor of science degree at UCLA and completed her medical training at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science/UCLA Medical Education Program. She did her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and her fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine at University of Southern California Women’s Hospital. She received a master’s degree in public health from Harvard University School of Public Health. 

Board certified in OB-GYN and maternal-fetal medicine, Dr. Gregory maintains an active clinical practice in high-risk obstetrics. She is vice chair of Women’s Healthcare Quality and Performance Improvement and the Helping Hand of Los Angeles – The Miriam Jacobs Chair in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai. She is professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai, with a joint appointment at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Her research interests include developing maternal quality indicators and patient-reported outcome measures for childbirth, patient safety, obstetrical healthcare utilization, appropriate cesarean section rates, complications of labor and delivery, and maternal morbidity and mortality. She has received federal and foundation funding for her research and has published over 120 peer-reviewed articles in professional journals. 

Dr. Gregory has served in various leadership positions, including on the U.S. Public Health Services Prevention Task Force, the Institute of Medicine Committee on Preventive Services for Women, the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Board of Directors, various committees for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the California Maternal Mortality Review Committee, the National Quality Forum, and numerous health and public policy committees at the state and national level.
